Why I Drive for Uber

Hi, I’m Erik. Originally from Michigan, I relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 2021. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University.  I started driving with Uber in April 2025 because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life. Every ride is a chance to brighten someone’s day and offer a safe, smooth, and comfortable experience.

Driving for Uber also gives me the flexibility I need right now. My wife is currently battling metastatic breast cancer, and being there for her is my top priority. This job allows me to support my family while still making a living, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

When I’m not on the road, you’ll find me creating tropical art, designing t-shirts, enjoying music and movies, playing pool, fishing, going to the beach, learning python or spending time with the people I love. Life has its challenges, but Uber helps me keep moving forward—one ride at a time.
